Scott Fischer - Director of Information Governance and Legal Technologies

Scott Fischer is an expert in the field of legal technology with more than 30 years of business experience. As the Director of Information Governance and Legal Technologies at Aurotech, Fischer is leading litigation and eDiscovery projects. He has been a featured ESI lecturer at Columbia University School of Law, University of Maryland School of Law and the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Scott Fischer served as the court appointed ESI expert for Judge Paul Grimm in Victor Stanley v. Creative Pipe, and was a lead ESI specialist for the plaintiff’s trial consulting team in Zubulake v. UBS Warburg LLC. He also served at the request of Judge Grimm on the Committee to write the Standing Order for Governing Electronic Discovery for the United States District Court for the State of Maryland. Currently, Fischer is serving on the Committee to Revise the Suggested Protocol for Discovery of Electronically Stored Information for the State of Maryland.

During the course of his long career in litigation support, Fischer worked on many watershed cases concerning the use of technology in litigation, including; database creation in the Pan American Lockerbie and United Airlines Sioux City airline disasters, the early silicon breast implant litigation, and various aspects of the tobacco litigation.

Fischer’s expertise encompasses a wide range of platforms in the industry, including Exterro, Kazeon, Clearwell, Nuix, Relativity, Summation, Concordance and iConect, among others.

Rajesh Sripada - Director of Business Intelligence

As Director / Program Manager of Business Intelligence, Rajesh Sripada manages the implementation and development of Business Intelligence (BI) Solutions. Sripada’s work experience includes providing strategic solutions for advancing BI at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). His responsibilities at Aurotech are specific to the growth of Business Intelligence and encompass business development, client relations and overseeing the tools and training needed to meet Aurotech’s consistently growing needs in information technology.

Sripada was instrumental in introducing the latest BI tools at the FDA – including visualization, data exploration and self-service reporting tools. He also incorporated a powerful in-memory backend for faster reporting performance. Sripada leads the FDA project and oversees full life-cycle development. As the lead, he is responsible for the project teams – from planning through execution – while specifically establishing applications requirements, user interface security/design and application risks.

Sripada is consistently recognized for technical delivery, performance and a superior focus on customer loyalty, technological refresh strategy, and data quality management.

Prior to Aurotech, Sripada spent 9 years at Information Innovators Inc (formerly known as GlobalNet Services Inc) supporting the FDA as both the lead and manager of Business Intelligence projects. Sripada has a proven record of identifying, strategizing and managing implementation solutions. His strengths include big data solutions, i.e. SAP HANA, healthcare solutions, web traffic analytics, software technologies, and end-to-end product introduction and enablement. His product skills include various BI tools from SAP, Tableau and Qlik Sense.

Sripada’s education includes a MS degree in Applied Information Technology from Towson University in MD, a diploma in International Business from Philadelphia University in PA, and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Wollongong, Australia.

Patel, along with his senior management team, work closely with federal government clients and industry partners to deliver on Aurotech’s promise of quality, high value solutions and performance. Prior to founding Aurotech, Patel held positions at TCS India, CSC, Oracle and Ernst & Young serving as a systems architect and technologist. Over the years at these firms, he developed key disciplines of leadership and management. Patel was responsible for winning many key accounts while at E&Y. It was while working there that he conceived the idea of Aurotech. He believed in a simple philosophy - "If you can do it for someone, you can very well make it work for yourself." Thus, Aurotech has conducted business since 2006.

Early on, he dedicated time to understanding the culture, markets, FAR guidelines, importance of certifications and understanding the challenges facing the government. In December 2006, Aurotech won its first prime contract and entered the mainstream market.

Patel has earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Mumbai, India. On a personal front, Patel concentrates on promoting growth among uneducated parents and youth within the community. He has begun working with a non-profit organization to educate people through the use of technology. His hope is that this new knowledge will restore their hope, enlighten them and help pave the way for a brighter future. “You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give."
